People want change of system

PPP co chairperson Asif Ali Zardari has said that Late Benazir Bhutto had come back for the change in system, but was assassinated in a tragic incident. We agree with Mr Zardari that Benazir as well as people wanted change. After having experience of two terms in government and eight years exile, she had reached on the point after concentrated consideration. She returned home with a hope and dream that she would change this old system. Though she had no slogan of Bolshevisms but she wanted this in phases.
She was attacked on homecoming and if she wanted she could have easily keep her self aside, but she opted for to other path, which shows her commitment with the people.
Benazir would live as legend of Sindh in years to come.
She wanted to change this undemocratic system and stood for people’s governance. I our country talking about vote and parliamentary politics has become a crime, because forces who rule on the barrel of gun are the enemy of the democracy. Benazir had termed such forces as remnants of Zia.
Asif Zardari too will have to struggle against these forces and fight for change of system. There a long and difficult path before him, but the people, party of Lat Bhutto and Benazir are with him. – (Feb 9, 2008)
